I don't post many pieces of my stories, but I've been in the mood to write, and have been gearing up for The Southern Cross Novel Challenge in June and decided to have a play with some of the characters from the novel. This one is part of "The Station Challenge" from kiwiwriters a few months ago, as well as "a small descriptive challenge" some time later.
So, take a look at the short piece called "Natasha".

I liked it, especially how it ended.
But "This group wasn't written that way, and their training and their personalities shined through the rejection by their author." confused me a little. Was it one of those self-referential things?
Violet,
Thanks for the comments.

Yeah - that was technically so that it could work for "The Station" Challenge offered up by www.kiwiwriters.org.
As a quick overview, "The Station" is a setting to place long forgotten characters. That's why I put in the reference to how they were ignored by their author (they have been for probably 17 years now).
ahhh...that's pretty neat.
